International Masterclass Kapfenberg
Welcome to our Masterclass "Gifted in Music" - the masterclass for piano, violine, violoncello and chamber music
The master class takes place every year during the first week of the summer holidays. With the aim of discovering young talents, supporting them on their artistic path and promoting international artistic exchange, the master class is designed for children and young people up to the age of 21.
Teachers of the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz offer an intensive week of six 60-minutes solo-lessons and supplementary chamber music lessons for Trio and Duo. The finale and highlight of the master class is a festive concert of all participants in the Spiel!Raum of the music school Kapfenberg. In order to provide the young artists with additional stage presence, the most outstanding participants will win a concert engagement as part of the Kapfenberg subscription concert series.
The generous infrastructure in the music school Kapfenberg offers enough practice rooms to spend a productive and fruitful time with the deepening and extension of the artistic abilities. In order to promote sufficient recovery phases in Kapfenberg, an additional programme offers a hiking day, badmington and table tennis games and yoga lessons.
A modern, beautiful and inexpensive accommodation enables a pleasant stay in the city of Kapfenberg. Music school, accommodation, restaurants, train station, supermarket and hotels are within walking distance.
